array an arrangement of of objects in equal rows and columns
divide to seperate into equal groups or equal parts
dividend the number to be divided in a division problem
division the operation of making equal groups to find the number in each group or to find the number of equal groups
divisor the number by which a number is divided
equation a number sentence that uses the equal sign to show that two amounts are equal
factor a number that is multiplied by another number to find a product
multiplication the operation using repeated addition of the same number; combining equal groups
multiply to join or combine equal groups
product the answer to a multiplication problem
quotient the answer to a division problem
repeated addition Multiplication; the combining of the same value over and over
repeated subtraction Division; the taking away of the same value over and over
strip diagram a model or drawing that looks like a strip of tape; strip diagrams are used to represent number relationships
