Effect of techniques

QuestionAnswer
What is the effect of a pattern of abstract nouns? Can make text sound more philosophical or profound as they have a universal meaning so may evoke emotion e.g. love, despair
What is the effect of modality? Expresses degrees of certainty, possibility, obligation which can suggest hypothetical situations or conditional outcomes
What is the effect of nominalisation? Process of converting verbs into nouns can make text more formal and impersonal to create objectivity and authority
