Paragraph

Identifying the Parts of a paragrap

TermDefinition
Paragraph It is a group of related sentences that discuss a single idea or topic.
Concluding Sentence It is the final sentence of a paragraph that summarizes the main idea or wraps up the discussion.
Detail Sentences The sentences that provide supporting information, examples, or explanations to elaborate on the main idea introduced in the topic sentence.
Title It gives the reader an idea of what the paragraph will discuss, setting the context for the content that follows.
Topic Sentence It is the first sentence in a paragraph that introduces the main idea or point of that paragraph.
Transition words The words or phrases that help connect ideas and guide the reader smoothly from one point to the next.
Main Idea It is the central point or concept that the paragraph is about. It conveys the primary message the writer wants to communicate
Indentation It is the space left at the beginning of the first line of the paragraph.
