TermDefinition
Relics (noun) An object surviving from an earlier time. (Relics of a lost civilization.)
Complex (adjective) Consisting of many different and connected parts. (a complex network of water channel)
Organization (noun) The action of organizing something. (The organization of conferences and seminars)
Representatives (n) A person chosen or appointed to act or speak for another. (the duke of glacester would attend coronation as the representative of his father)
Hard-wired (verb) Connect electrical parts permanently. (New houses must have hard wired smoke detectors)
Crisis (noun) Time when a situation is very bad or dangerous. (he was in a school crisis)
Pollution (noun) Preserve or introduction into a space of a substance or thing that has poisonous are harmful effects. (The city was going through severe pollution.)
Urgency (noun) State of being very important and needing to be dealt with right away. (There was a school urgency an hour ago)
Universal (adjective) Involving everyone in the world or in a particular group. (It was a universal question.)
Illusion (noun) Something that appears real but is not. (The statue was an illusion)
Environment (noun) Land, air, water, in which people, animals, and plants live, and all the natural features. (he camped in the environment)
bias (noun) When an author holds a strong opinion or belief about his or her topic.
claim (noun) Main argument made by the author.
counterclaim (noun) A reasonable argument that opposes or disagree with another claim.
evidence (noun) Something that proves or demonstrates the truth of something else.
Sound (adjective) Reasoning that makes sense and follows some sort of logic.
Relevant (adjective) To be considered relevant, the facts, details or other information within a text must be related to the topic.
