TermDefinition
Correlation Coefficient a number between −1 and +1 calculated so as to represent the linear dependence of two variables or sets of data.
Midpoint the point that lies exactly halfway between two other points on a line segment
Parallel two lines that are always the same distance apart and never intersect
Perpendicular two lines intersect at a 90-degree angle, also known as a right angle
Association any relationship between two variables
Correlation a statistical measure that describes the relationship between two variables, indicating how strongly they tend to change together, either in the same direction (positive) or in opposite directions (negative)
Causation a relationship between two variables where a change in one variable directly causes a change in the other
Line of Best Fit a straight line that depicts the trend of the given scattered data plots on a graph
