| personification | a divinity or imaginary being representing a thing or abstraction |
| Dialogue | a written composition in which two or more characters are represented as conversing |
| Monologue | a dramatic sketch performed by one actor |
| Stage Direction | a description (as of a character or setting) or direction (as to indicate stage business) provided in the text of a play |
| Aside | an utterance not meant to be heard by someone |
| Drama | to portray life or character or to tell a story usually involving conflicts and emotions through action and dialogue |
| Subordinating conjunction | a conjunction that joins a main clause and a clause which does not form a complete sentence by itself |
| dependent clause | a clause that does not form a simple sentence by itself and that is connected to the main clause of a sentenced |
| Independent clause | a clause that can be part of itself or by a simple sentence |
| Relative clause | an adjective clause introduced by a relative pronoun expressed or suppressed, relative adjective, or relative adverb and having either a purely descriptive force |
| Complex Sentence | a sentence containing a subordinate clause or clauses. |
| Clause | a group of words containing a subject and predicate and functioning as a member of a complex |
