VERT means TURN or TWIST

| introvert | to turn inward, or someone who is shy and reserved and keeps to him/herself |
| extrovert | to turn outward; a person who is outgoing |
| avert | to turn away; to see something coming and avoid it |
| adverse | turning against what is wanted |
| adversity | conditions that make things harder or turn against you; things that make you have to work or fight hard to get what you want or need |

| diverse | different; made up of different kinds of things or people |
