Which branch is more powerful that the others? None
Why is congress bicameral? It has 2 parts house and senate.
Where does the idea of a begin From citizens, organized groups, or members of congress.
Where does a bill go if it is passed unchanged by the Senate? To the President.
Where does a bill go if it is changed by the Senate and what happens to it? It goes to a conference committee to work out the differences between the two houses.
In article III what are the guidelines to becoming president. Must be 35 years old, have lived in the U.S. for at least 14 years, and be a natural born U.S. citizen.
Which amendment deals with the presidential succession? The 25th amendment.
What is the order of the succession for presidency? Vice President, Speaker of The House, President Pro Tempore, Secretary of State.
Who controls the funding for the Executive Branch? Congress
Where do the majority of cases the Supreme Court hears come from? Lower courts as appeals.
What is the job of the Judicial Branch? To interpret the laws of the United States.
What did Article III create? The Judicial Branch.
What is Judicial Review? The power to declare laws or executive actions unconstitutional.
What major precedent did the case Marbury vs. Madison establish? Judicial Review.
What cant happen to a decision made by the Supreme Court? It cannot be appealed to the Senate.
What do trade barriers include? Tariffs and Embargos.
Hip Hop originating in American and spreading to other cultures who create their own versions oh Hip Hop is an example of what? Culture Diffusion.
What is a physical map? A map that shows natural features like landforms and elevation.
What is a political map? A map that shows borders of countries, states, or major cities.
What is a special purpose map? A map that shows specific information like climate, land-use, or trade routes.
Definition of a citizen? A legal member of a country with certain rights and responsibilities.
Definition of naturalization? A legal process by which a person becomes a citizen of another country.
Definition of anthropology? The study of all aspects of human life.
Definition of archaeology? The scientific study of past cultures through artifacts and other evidence
What is a cartographer? Person who makes maps.
What is a global grid? Imaginary lines around the globe that give exact location using latitude and longitude.
Definition of longitude? Imaginary lines that run north and south and measure the distance east or west of the prime meridian.
Definition of latitude? Imaginary lines that run west to east and measure distance north or south of the equator.
