What is life expectancy? How long the average person can expect to live in a country passed on the quality of life there
What does a person have access to in a country where there there is a high quality of life? Education, healthcare, a stable government, plenty of job opportunities
What is life like for someone in a country where there is a low quality of life? Mostly agricultural jobs, little access to education or healthcare, unstable government
What does GDP stand for? Gross Domestic Product
What is Gross Domestic Product (GDP)? The amount of money made by a country in a year based on the economic activities available in that country
A country that is MOST developed will have what characteristics? High literacy rate, low infant mortality rate, high life expectancy, and a high GDP per capita
What is GDP per capita? The average salary of a citizen in that country based on how much money the country made over all
A country that is LEAST developed will have what characteristics? Low literacy rate, high infant mortality rate, low life expectancy, and low GDP per capita
Why do people want there to be limits to the government's power? The more limited the government's power is, the move personal freedoms that the citizens will have
Another way to say personal freedoms is... civil liberties
