Vocabulary Cards

Word Definition
Contradict To say the opposite of what someone else said, or to disagree with something.
Verdict The decision or judgment made by a jury or judge in a court, or the final decision about something.
Transcript A written or typed copy of spoken words, like what someone said in a speech or an interview.
Ascribe To say that something was caused by or belongs to someone or something.
Bibliography A list of books, articles, or other sources that you used to research or write something.
Cryptography The science or art of writing secret codes so that messages can only be read by people who have the key to decode them.
Telegram A message sent quickly over a long distance using wires and written down at the other end, like an old-fashioned text message.
