| face | a polygon that is a flat surface of a solid figure |
| edge | the line segment where two faces of a solid figure meet |
| vertex | the point at which two rays of an angle meet or two (or more) line segments meet in a plane figure, or where three or more edges meet in a solid figure; the top point of a cone |
| base | a polygon’s side or a solid figure’s face by which the figure is measured or named |
