| Louis Armstrong | African American Jazz musician and singer of the 1920s. He also played the trumpet and cornet |
| Harlem Renaissance | the artistic growth of African American culture centered in the Harlem neighborhood of New York City. African American artists, writers, and musicians created works that celebrated African American culture |
| Langston Hughes | one of the leaders of the Harlem Renaissance. Hughes was a poet and writer who's work focused on African American culture and people |
| Great Migration | between 1910 and 1940, many African American people left the south and moved the the north and midwest. |
| Women's Suffrage Movement | Women's fight for the right to vote in America, started in the 1800 and finally succeeded with the ratification of the 19th amendment in 1920 |
| 19th Amendment | an amendment added to the constitution that gave women the right to vote, ratified on August 18, 1920 |
| Babe Ruth | the most famous baseball player of the 1920s. Helped to make baseball more interesting and exciting. |
| Charles Lindbergh | first man to fly across the Atlantic Ocean (transatlantic flight) |
| Henry Ford | Introduced the Assembly Line and revolutionized the way automobiles were made to be able to make more cars in a quicker way, creator of the Model T Ford Automobile |
