Adjectives Rules

| predicate adjectives | when the noun is the subject followed by a linking verb, its adjective follows the linking verb as part of the predicate |
| proper adjective | an adjective formed from a proper noun |
| article | a, an, the |
| "The" describes | one specific item or items |
| "A" and "an" refer to | any one item of a group (not specific) |
| demonstrative adjectives | adjectives used to point out something: this, that, these, and those they still always act like adjectives by describing or modifying nouns |
| "This" and "these" refer to things that are | close |
