| inflammatory | Causing anger or trouble. |
| ordain | To order or prearrange. To install as a minister, priest, or rabbi, often in a special ceremony. |
| ovation | An enthusiastic reception; long and loud applause. |
| overt | Not hidden; public. |
| recant | To take back an opinion or statement; to confess to being wrong. |
| rejoinder | A reply to what has been said. |
| reproach | To find fault with; to blame. |
| servile | Like a slave; excessivly humble. |
| surpass | To exceed or go beyond. |
| vilify | To make vicious remarks about someone in a way that damages that person's character; to slander. |
