What game did Gramps and Sal play toward the end of the novel? Pretended to be other people to see life from their perspective.
What does this saying mean: "We never know the worth of water until the well runs dry."? the phrase "We never know the worth of water until the well runs dry" means that people often don't fully appreciate something valuable until it is gone or becomes scarce; essentially, we only realize how important something is once we no longer have easy access to it.
