el idioma como signidicador social El idioma es un significador social porque es una manera a comunicar mensajes sociales sobre su origen y sus relaciones. Puede ser un gran parte de la cultura y identidad para algunas personas.
el prestigio linguistico Es la idea que un dialecto o lengua especifica es mejor porque las personas que lo dicen son mas educados, intelegentes, y en vez, su lengua/dialecto es 'mejor.'
la gramatica prescriptiva how a language should be used, the rules and regulations that go with it example: that coffee is cold
la gramatica descriptiva how a language is actually used when spoken or used otherwise example: that coffee cold, that coffee be cold
el esquema How we categorize things in our mind to make sense of the worls, such as thinking a person is from Britain if they have a british accent
el estigma negative or unfair beliefs that society or a group of people have about other people. Stereotyping ex: thinking that a dialect or group of people are less intelligent based on the way they speak
la regularizacion the continuation of a pattern of language structures to make sense of the language. ex: adding an -s ending on the end of the preterit tu form because most other tu forms have an -s on the end
