Colloquial/ colloquialism slang or informal speech in text.
Coherence The principle that demands for a written composition be organized academically proper.
Connotation The nonliteral association of the meaning of words or passage to emotion/meaning
Denotation The literal meaning of a word with no emotion.
Diction Refers to the author's choices of words.
Ethos An appeal to ethics, makes audience believe what is good or true.
Euphemism The use of a word or phrase that is used to be less offensive, the powder room - bathroom
Hyperbole Figure of speech that deliberately exaggerates a statement.
Hypophora When author asks a question and then answers their own question. "who is the sigma? I am the SIGMA"
Imagery A description that creates an image in the readers head using at least 1 of the 5 senses.
