Equivalent Expressions Expressions that have the same value
Term When plus or minus signs separate an algebraic expression into parts, each part is a _

Like Terms Terms that contain the same variables, and those variables have the same exponents

Simplest Terms When an algebraic expression has no like terms or parentheses
Simplify To combine any like terms and remove any parentheses

Opposite The same number with a different sign
Reciprocal A fraction turned upside down
Formula An equation that shows the relationship among certain quantities
