Bias Feeling prejudice towards something/someone.
Perspective How someone views something.
Opinion A judgment on something based off of what you think about it.
Point Of View Somebody's perspective on something.
Fact A judgement based off of real evidence.
Characterization Describing characteristics of a character.
Plot Everything a story is made up of.
Setting Where and when the story takes place.
Conflict A fight over a disagreement between two characters.
Theme The main topic of a story.
Protagonist The main character of a story.
Antagonist A character who fights against the protagonist.
Foil The opposite of something else.
Dynamic Character A character who changes throughout the story.
Static Character A character who has little to no change throughout the story.
Foreshadowing An indication of what's to come.
Flashback Pauses chronological order to show the past.
Initiating Event Either an idea/action/character that starts the main conflict and sets the plot events into motion.
Irony When the opposite of what you expect to happen, happens.
Omniscient Having infinite awareness, understanding, and insight.
Analyze To study or determine the nature and relationship of the parts of something by analysis.
Summarize A summary is telling the story in a few sentences. Summarizing is the act of making a summary to a story.
Infer To derive as a conclusion from facts or premises.
Paraphrase A restatement of a text, passage, or work giving the meaning another form.
Conclude To make a decision about something.
Fiction Something invented by the imagination.
Prose Prose is a distinguished form of writing, where you write the way you would usually speak.
Verse Verse is a distinguished form of writing, where you write in a more poetic way.
Fantasy Imaginative fiction featuring especially strange settings and grotesque characters.
Informational The communication or reception of knowledge or intelligence.
