Figurative Language

Hyperbole An extreme exaggerations used to make a point I could sleep for a thousand years.
Onomatopoeia Word that are sounds Crash! Boom! Buzz!
Personification Human traits or characteristics are given to something non-human The wind whispered through the trees.
Idiom A figure of speech Don't beat around the bush.
Pun A play on words, usually meant to be funny (one word can have multiple meanings, or be a homephone) ow do you "whoop" a rock? You hit rock bottom.
