phonotactic constraints the rules that limit the ways sounds can be arranged in a language ex: when a word begins with /l/ or /r/ the next letter is a vowel
prosodic relating to the rhythm and intonation ex: putting stress on the word not in the sentence "I did not eat the cookie" to emphasize that they did not
rime part of a word including the vowel and the letters that follow ex: the rime of plant is "ant"
