| Term | Definition |

| Estate | A huge amount of property a huge amount of land, a lot of acres. |
| Static | Not moving at all, staying still; tensing up. |
| Station | The position where someone/something has been assigned to stand. |
| Stationary | Not capable of moving staying still and not moving forever once finished setting up. |
| Stature | Someone who's super tall, or achieved position. |
| Status | Someone could have a high status in the world or a low status in the world. |
| Ecstatic | A happy feeling. |
| Status quo | Staying the same or not changing at all. |
| Statute | A law created by a person with high status. |
| Thermostat | A device where you can control the temperature by either clicking a button or turning it. |
| Appendix | Usually not read part of the book. |
| Dependent | Using somebody as a source for your responsibility. |
| Independent | NOT using somebody as a source for responsibility. |
| Expenditure | The amount being paid from somebody; an expense. |
| Impending | Something big that is about to happen, like a storm or a party. |
| Pendant | The symbol hanging from a necklace, usually a cross or something else. |
| Pending | Something that is waiting to happen, usually a trade where someone is waiting to accept or decline. |
| Pendulum | Something that swings from back and forth. |
| Perpendicular | Math equation where 2 lines touch each other, like a plus sign. |
| Suspended | sometimes referred as suspended in class, or suspended in air, but this time it means delayed or hanging. |
