| to dumbfound | to make someone feel greatly shocked or amazed so much that they are speechless |
| to abhor | to hate a behavior or way of thought, believing that it is morally wrong |
| amorous | expressing love and sexual desire toward someone |
| to beam | to smile joyfully in an obvious way |
| confrontational | likely to cause arguments because of being aggressive |
| dismay | the sadness and worry provoked by an unpleasant surprise |
| contemptuous | devoid of respect for someone or something |
| desolate | feeling very lonely and sad |
| diffident | shy due to lack of self-confidence |
| grave | serious and solemn in manner or character |
| to disgust | to make someone feel upset, shocked, and sometimes offended about something |
| abominable | extremely horrible and unpleasant |
| drowsy | feeling very sleepy |
| fidgety | restless, uneasy, and unable to stay still and calm |

| dreary | boring and repetitive that makes one feel unhappy |

| apathy | the lack of interest, concern, emotions for things |
| empathy | the ability to emotionally understand what other people feel, see things from their point of view, and imagine yourself in their place. |
| melancholy | a feeling of long-lasting sadness that often cannot be explained |
| outrage | the extreme feeling of rage and anger |
| hysteria | great excitement, anger, or fear that makes someone unable to control their emotions, and as a result, they start laughing, crying, etc. |
| self-loathing | a strong feeling of hating oneself |
| homesickness | a feeling of stress or anxiety caused by separation from people and places that you know and love. |
| compassion | sympathetic pity and concern for the sufferings or misfortunes of others. |
| resentment | bitter indignation at having been treated unfairly. |
| relief | A feeling of reassurance and relaxation following release from anxiety or distress |
| mortification | great embarrassment and shame. |
| ego | a person's sense of self-esteem or self-importance. |
| betrayal | the action of betraying one's country, a group, or a person; treachery. |
| envy | a feeling of discontented or resentful longing aroused by someone else's possessions, qualities, or luck. |
| remorse | deep regret or guilt for a wrong committed. |
| cynicism | an inclination to believe that people are motivated purely by self-interest. |
