| What is conformation bias? | tendency to confirm beliefs and ignore evidence that goes ageist what you want. |
| What is hindsight bias? | "I knew it all along"; tendency to believe events are predictable; AFTER THE FACT |
| What is Overconfidence? | Tendency to overestimate your abilities and knowledge; underestimate any time or effoert needed for an activity. |

| infromed assent | when studies use children and/or adults who can agree for themselves. |
| protection from harm | Studies should be designed so that participants come to no more harm than they would do in their day to day lives. |
| confidentiality/anonymity | Researchers should use fake names or numbers instead of participant name |
| deception | if a partcipants are fully aware of what they have signed up for and study is not clear. |
| confederates | individuals who participate in research, but who are not being studied; fake participants. |
| debriefing | a short interview after where participants are told the full aims of the study and are given the opportunity to ask questions |
