Stages of Plot
| Term | Definition |

| Exposition | The beginning of a story, where we are introduced to the setting and characters. |
| Inciting Incident | The event that forces the main character into the conflict/adventure/journey. |
| Rising Action | The longest part of the story where the conflict becomes more intense for the main character. |
| Climax | The most suspenseful moment, or turning point, of a story. |
| Falling Action | The part where the conflict STARTS to get resolved. |
| Resolution | The end, where it is revealed how everything turns out. |
| Protagonist | The main character in a story. |
| Antagonist | The character who works against the main character. |
