| Term | Definition |

| Inverse Operations | The operation that undoes what was done by the previous operation. |
| Algebraic Expression | an expression which is made up of variables and constants, along with algebraic operations (addition, subtraction, etc.). |
| Solution | an assignment of values to the unknown variables that makes the equality in the equation true. |
| Standard Form | The degrees of the monomial terms decreases from left to right. |
| Constraint | restrictions (limitations, boundaries) that must be placed upon variables used in equations |
| Term | Is a number, a variable, or the product of a number and 1 or more variables seperated by + and -. |
| Coeficient | Is the numerical factor of the term. (The number before the variable) |
| Base | a number or variable that is raised to a certain power. |
| Values | a number signifying the result of a calculation. |
| Exponent | The exponent of a number says how many times to use that number in a multiplication. |
