reggaetón Reggaeton: created in Puerto Rico in 1990, reggaeton is one of the most popular genres in Latin music currently. It was influenced by Panama's Spanish reggae, Jamaican "dancehall" and hip-hop. Vocals include both rapping and singing.​
flamenco Flamenco: originated in Andalucia, Spain, and it is one of the oldest and most symbolic genres from that country. It is characterized by its recognizable rhythm and singing with the use of Spanish guitar.
tango Tango: a partner and social dance most associated with Argentina. Tango music is derived from the fusion of various forms of music from Europe.​
salsa Salsa: is one of the most popular Latino rhythms throughout the world thanks to its captivating melodies. It is mostly closely associated with Cuba but incorporates influences from the other Latino-Caribbean nations as well. ​
merengue Merengue: a popular musical genre and dance style from the Dominican Republic, originated in the 1800s.
bachata Bachata: a musical genre and dance style from the Dominican Republic, originated in the 1900s. (Prince Royce)
cumbia Cumbia: refers to several musical rhythms and dance traditions of Latin America, retains elements from American Indigenous, European and African cultures with a heavy influence from the Afro-Colombian community.
vallenato Vallenato: folk music from the Caribbean region of Colombia.
samba Samba: a broad term for many of the rhythms that compose the better-known Brazilian music genres that originated in the Afro-Brazilian communities starting at the end of the 1800s. It is both a music style and dance
