Composer Pyotr (Peter) Ill'yich Tchaikovsky, a Russian composer from the Romantic period (mid 1800's). Best known for his symphonies and his ballets such as the Nutcracker. His compositions express deep emotions, with lyrical melodies and rich, powerful harmonies.
Title From the ballet The Nutcracker. One christmas eve, the Nutcracker Prince invites Clara (a young girl) to visit the palace of the Sugarplum Fairy. Many colourful dancers perform to entertain Clara.

Waltz A ballroom dance in triple time, with an "oom-pa-pa" accompaniment pattern.
