Lines and Angles

TermDefinition
Right Angle an angle that is exactly 90 degrees and looks like an L
Acute Angle an angle that is less than 90 degrees
Obtuse Angle an angle that is greater than 90 degrees
Straight Angle an angle that looks like a straight line and measures to 180 degrees
Angle 2 rays that meet at the same point
Ray it has one endpoint and the other side goes on forever
Segment a piece of a line. It can be shown with 2 points or no points. It has no arrows though!!!
Line a line that goes on forever in both directions, it is shown with arrows
parallel 2 lines that will never meet even if they go on forever
intersect 2 lines that touch or cross over each other
perpendicular 2 lines that intersect, BUT ALSO when they meet it is at a 90 degree angle
point looks like a dot, it shows a LOCATION on a line.
