Why aren't the jaguars and sloths growing and thriving? 1 The sloths in the rainforest ecosystem eat cecropia trees. We saw data that showed us that the number and size of the cecropia trees in the project area is much lower than that of the trees in the rest of the rainforest.
Why aren't the jaguars and sloths growing and thriving? 2 This means that the sloths do not have enough food to eat. If the sloths do not have enough food they will not grow or thrive. Since the jaguars eat the sloths, they will not have enough food to grow and thrive either.
How do animals grow? Animals grow by changing food molecules into body molecules that can build their bodies.
Where do food molecules in an ecosystem come from? The body matter of plants and animals.
Everything is made of _____. Matter.
Matter is made up of _______. Molecules.
What are the two other things besides growing that food molecules get used as? Energy and waste.
All food molecules can be traced back to plants.
