Waves

Some of the different kinds of waves and what they are

TermDefinition
Amplitude Raises peak of the wave, lowers the lowest point.
Frequency How frequent a wave is. (Higher frequency more waves and vice versa)
Wavelength The distance in-between the peak of each wave.
Crest The crest of a wave is the lowest possible point in a wave
Radio waves (length on EM spectrum) Shortest wavelength
Microwaves (length on EM spectrum) Second shortest wavelength
Infrared (length on EM spectrum) Third shortest wavelength
Ultraviolet (length on EM spectrum) Third longest wavelength
X-Rays (length on EM spectrum) Second longest wavelength
Gamma rays (length on EM spectrum) Longest wavelength
