Properties of Waves

TermDefinition
amplitude The height of a transverse wave from the center to a crest or trough.
wavelength The distance between the crest of one wave and the crest of the next wave.
frequency The number of waves passing a given point each second.
hertz (Hz) Unit of measurement for frequency.
