Rational Numbers

Convert fractions and decimals

To convert a fraction to a decimal, just use the fraction bar as a _____. division sign
The fraction 3/4 can be read as three divided by four
Convert 3/4 to a decimal. 0.75
Dividing a number by 10 is the same as moving the decimal point____. one place to the left
Convert 3/10 to a decimal. 0.3
Dividing a number by 100 is the same as moving the decimal point__________. two places to the left
Convert 658/100 to a decimal. 6.58
Dividing a number by 1,000 is the same as moving the decimal point______. three places to the left
Convert 5/1000 to a decimal. 0.005
Convert 0.865 to a fraction. Since there are three decimal places, the number on the bottom of the fraction should be a 1 with three 0s. 865/1000
Convert 0.57 to a fraction. 57/100
Convert 0.9 to a fraction. 9/10
