TDA VOCABULARY

QuestionAnswer
text dependent refers to the information or evidence that comes directly from the text you are analyzing
analyze to examine something closely and break it down into smaller parts to understand it better
RACE restate answer cite explain race is a strategy used to respond to comprehension question
thesis the main point or argument you make in your writing it should clearly state your interpretation of the text meaning
details specific pieces of information from the text that support your analysis or response examples and quotes
evidence proof from the text that support your thesis or main points it can be direct quotes specific events or facts from the reading
support the act of backing up your clam or thesis statement with evidence and details from the text
closure bringing your writing to a closing writing a satisfying conclusion
