Accommodations
| Term | Definition |

| Accommodation | the provision of lodging and related services for travelers during their stay |
| Adjoining Rooms | two guest rooms that are located next to each other and are connected by a locked door between them |
| Airbnb | a residential property that hosts rent on a short term basis to travelers |
| All-inclusive | a vacation that includes all the essentials in the booking price |
| All-inclusive Resort | your stay, unlimited food, drinks, activities and entertainment are included in the booking price of the resort |
| Amenities | something that helps to provide comfort, convenience, or enjoyment |
| Aparthotel | a set of apartments where you can stay for a short time that offer services like a hotel |
| B&B | bed and breakfast; a system of accommodations in a guest house in which you pay for a room for the night and breakfast the following morning |
| Chain Hotel | a property that's part of a group of hotels operated by the same company or owner |
| Concierge | a hotel staff member who handles luggage and mail, makes reservations, and arranges tours |
| Eco Hotel | an environmentally sustainable hotel or accommodation that has made important environmental improvements to its structure in order to minimize its impact on the natural environment |
| Group Rate | a discounted rate offered to larger groups |
| Hostel | an establishment which provides inexpensive food and lodging for a specific group of people |
| Hotel | an establishment providing accommodations, meals, and other services for travelers and tourists |
| Market Segmentation | the practice of dividing your target market into approachable groups |
| Micro-stay Hotel | hotels that can be booked by the hour, not just by the night |
| Motel | a roadside hotel designed primarily for motorists, typically having the rooms arranged in a low building with parking directly outside |
| Peak Days | a time of the day or year when traffic, use, demand, etc., is greatest and charges, fares, or the like are at the maximum |
| Porter | a person employed to carry luggage and other loads |
| Premium Price | when the price of a product or service is significantly higher than similar competing products because the company either demonstrates, or the consumers perceive, that the product or service is of high quality |
| Shoulder Days | next to full or very compressed dates where it is hard to make a reservation |
| Tourist Destination | city, town, or other area that is significantly dependent on revenues from tourism |
| VRBO | Vacation Rentals by Owner; an online vacation rental site where property owners can list their homes for rent |
