painting the action or skill of using paint, either in a picture or as decoration.
poems a piece of writing in which the expression of feelings and ideas is given intensity by particular attention to diction (sometimes involving rhyme), rhythm, and imagery.
basketball a game played between two teams of five players in which goals are scored by throwing a ball through a netted hoop fixed at each end of the court.
chess a board game of strategic skill for two players, played on a chequered board on which each playing piece is moved according to precise rules. The object is to put the opponent's king under a direct attack from which escape is impossible ( checkmate ).
