exterior angle theorem the 2 remote interior angles in a triangle add to the exterior angle
right triangle a triangle with one 90 degree angle
isosceles triangle a triangle with two congruent angles and two congruent sides
equilateral triangle a triangle with three congruent angles and three congruent sides
parallelogram a quadrilateral with 2 pairs of opposite sides that are congruent and parallel
rectangle a parallelogram with congruent diagonals
square a parallelogram with diagonals that are congruent and perpendicular
rhombus a parallelogram with perpendicular diagonals
trapezoid a quadrilateral with only 1 pair of parallel sides
isosceles trapezoid a trapezoid where the non-parallel sides are congruent
parallel lines lines that never intersect; has the same slope
perpendicular lines lines that intersect at a 90 degree angle; has negative reciprocal slopes
bisector a segment or a line that divides a segment into 2 congruent parts
midpoint the point that divides a segment into 2 congruent parts
scalene triangle a triangle with no congruent angles and no congruent sides
