| music | (noun) sounds combined to create a harmonic sound. "They were dancing to the music." |
| recess | (noun) period of time that an activity is temporarily suspended. "We had indoor recess because it was raining outside." |
| motor | (noun) a machine powered by a source. "That machine is operated by an electrical motor." |
| index | (noun) a list of names in alphabetical order. "Look at the index of the book to find what you are looking for." |
| rapid | (adjective) happening in a short time. "She had her first three children in rapid succession." |
