How do you describe ionic bonding? How do you describe ionic bonding? Ionic bonds are formed between two or more atoms by the transfer of one or more electrons between atoms.
what is a cation ? a positively ion - metal
what is a anion a negatively charged ion - non metal
metallic bonding Metallic bonding is the electrostatic attraction between positive metal ions and delocalised electrons.
how are they formed? formed when an atom or molecule gains or loses an electron/electrons..
what is the menstrual cycle ? a 28 day process in which the lining of the uterus is prepared for pregnancy. If implantation of the fertilised egg into the uterus lining does not happen, the lining is then shed. this is called menstruation
what is ovulation ? the releasing of the egg form the ovaries
what is FSH ? follicle stimulating hormone - causes the maturation of an egg in the ovary
what is LH ? luteinising hormone - stimulates the release of the egg
what is Oestrogen ? oestrogen - is involved in repairing and thickening the uterus lining, while progesterone maintains it
what is produced in the pituitary gland ? (FSH) follicle stimulating hormone and (LH) luteinising hormone
what is produced in the ovaries ? oestrogen and progesterone
