| parallel | adj. two lines that are the same distance from one another continuously , that will never intersect, and have the same slope |
| perpendicular | adj. two lines that intersect, forming a 90 degree angle at their intersection point |
| line | n. a continuous set of points that extends in opposite directions infinitely |
| ray | n. a set of points with a starting point, that extends in one direction infinitely |
| segment | n. a set of points with a start and end point |
| bisect | v. when a line cuts a segment or angle into two congruent parts |
| bisector | n. a line that cuts a segment or angle into two congruent parts |
| angle bisector | n. a line that cuts an angle into two congruent parts |
| segment bisector | n. a line that cuts a segment into two congruent parts |
| perpendicular bisector | n. a line that cuts a segment into two congruent parts AND forms a 90 degree angle at their intersection point |
| right angle | n. an angle whose angle measure is 90 degrees |
| acute angle | n. an angle whose measure is greater than or equal to 0 degrees and less than 90 degrees |
| obtuse angle | n. an angle whose measure is greater than 90 degrees and less than 180 degrees |
| angle | n. the opening between two rays that meet at a common point (vertex) |
| angle measure | n. the measurement of an angle in degrees |
