WLFT methods Turn on all lights
White light leakage test - 6 months - After work has been carried out - As necessary
Equipment required in WLLT - Insulation tape to temporarily cover holes - Chalk to mark holes
Methods for WLLT - Turn on lights on adjacent areas - Switch off all darkroom lights -Close doors -Stay in the room for 10 minutes for eyes to get use - Look around the darkroom - Pay attention to doors, windows, extractor fans, air vent, and entry of pipes
Actions for WLLT - Identify then seal leaks - Repeat the test - Carry out a test if any film fogging will happen - File a report
Methods for WLFT - Turn on all lights in adjacent areas - Turn off all darkroom lights - Close doors - Place sheet of film on the workbench - Cover half of film with sheet of card - Leave for 3 minutes - Process the film
Evaluation for WLFT If the density of the uncovered part is greater than the covered part, then fogging has occurred
Actions for WLFT - Seal areas of light leakage - Repeat WLLT - File a report
Methods for SLET Place cassette face up on the table Set SID of 100 cm Cover 1/3 of cassette with lead rubber (lengthways) - Area C Collimate to the uncovered area of the Cassette Expose the film using a minimum exposure of 45 kV, 2 mAs
Methods for SLET - part 2 Unload cassette in total darkness Place the film on the workbench Cover 1/3 of exposed side with sheet of card - Area A Cover areas B and C of the film w/ second sheet of card, except for 3 cm strip at the top (Horizontal) Switch on safelights
Methods for SLET - part 3 Start clock immediately Wait 30 seconds Move second sheet of card down 3 cm Wait 30 seconds Repeat the process until the bottom of film Switch off safe lights immediately Process the film
Important note for SLET Lightly pre-exposing the film makes it more light sensitive
