Define pressure. The amount of force over a given area.
We always consider fluids to be an _______ fluid. Ideal.
What is an ideal fluid? A fluid that has no internal friction or viscosity and is incompressible.
Define Pascal's Principle. Pressure applied to a fluid in a closed container is transmitted equally to every point of the fluid and the walls of the container.
Fluid pressure is a function of... Depth.
Atmospheric comes from where? Above.
Where does the continuity equation come from? The idea of conservation of mass.
The mass flowing into the pipe must equal... The mass flowing out of the pipe in the same time interval.
What is flowrate? Known as the product of (area)(velocity).
What is the unit for flowrate? (m^3)/(sec.)
