Figurative Language refers to words or phrases that are meaningful; but not literally true
Metophor comparing something without using the words like or as
Simile comparing something using the words like or as
Idiom a term whose meaning cannot be determined from the literal meaning of the words it was made of
Synonym words that have almost the same meaning
Antonym words that have the opposite meaning
Homograph words that have the same spellings but different meanings.
