| solution (gen) | the answer to a problem, a way of dealing with a problem |
| solution (sci) | a liquid with something dissolved in it, eg salt |
| solve | the verb from solution |
| miserable | deeply unhappy about something |
| misery | the noun from miserable |
| defend | to protect yourself or another from an attack |
| gradual | happening very slowly so it's hardly noticeable |
| malicious | something done deliberately to hurt someone |
| harm | damage, something bad or painful |
| mal | a prefix meaning 'bad' |
| ben | a prefix meaning 'good' |
| individual | a single person considered separately from a group |
| hint | a clue that may help you find an answer |
| remark | something you say |
| SURvey | an investigation into the views/behaviour of a group of people, done by asking questions |
| investigate | to carefully examine a mystery, topic, situation, etc, to find out the truth about it |
