Non specific immunit

| Non specific immunity | a defenses that not aimed at specific pathogen |
| Specific immunity | the most effective immune response, that aimed at specific pathogen |
| Physical barriers | includes skin and its secretions. |
| Chemical barriers | includes saliva, tears, nasal secretion containing enzymes called lysozymes |
| Lysozymes | enzymes that break down the bacterial cells wall, which kill pathogens. |
| interferon | chemical produced by viral infected cells, bind to the neighbor cells to produce antiviral proteins preventing virus from attacking |
| phagoctes | white blood cells attack the pathogen and analyze it |
| complementary proteins | 20 types of protein help in phagocytosis, help white blood cells to bind better to the pathogen |
