Homogenous | Substance in which particles are uniform |
Solubility | Amount of solute that will dissolve in a solvent |
Saturated | Solution that contains the maximum amount of solute at a given temperature |
Unsaturated | Solution is holding less solute than the maximum |
Supersaturated | Solution is holding more solute than maximum |
Concentration | Tells how much solute is dissolved in a given amount of solvent (Measured in Molarity) |
Parts Per Million | Ratio between mass of a solute and total mass of solution |
Surface Area | Size of the solute particles |
Catalyst | A substance that increases the rate of a reaction by creating a different pathway |

Activation Energy | Amount of energy it takes to break existing bonds and get the reaction started |
Activation Complex | The temporary, intermediate product in a chemical reaction |
Le Chatelier's principle | A system at equilibrium will react to reduce a stress |
Equilibrium | A condition in which the rates of opposing reactions are equal |
Solution | A homogeneous mixture of substances in the same physical state |
Entropy | A measure of disorder or randomness of a system |
