Words of the Week 3

TermDefinition
wrote (verb) mark a surface with a pen or pencil. "She wrote a letter to her grandma."
alone (adjective) to be by yourself. "She was alone at home last night."
store (noun) place where you buy things. "Mom needs to go to the store to buy some groceries."
boat (noun) small vessel that moves on the water surface. "My dad has a boat for fishing."
foam (noun) thick mass of bubbles formed or in liquid. "I shook the soda can and the foam came out when I opened it."
coast (noun) edge of land by the sea. "Ben has a house by the coast."
snow (noun) icy light white flakes that fall on the ground when it is very cold. "The snow was so thick that we had to shovel it to get out."
know (verb) be aware of information. "I know all my math facts."
follow (verb) move continuously behind something or someone "Go ahead in your car. I will follow you."
goes (verb) move from one place to another. "He goes to the same park every morning."
toes (noun) 10 digits at the end of a human's feet. "Martha cleaned my toes yesterday."
foe (noun) enemy, someone against you. "We should join forces to face this formidable foe."
sold (verb) something traded for something else, usually money. "That picture was sold for $2,000."
donut (noun) sweet small fried cake in the shape of a ring. "Mom brought me a chocolate donut from Dunkin Donuts."
bonus (noun) something free, usually money, added to the regular reward. "I got my Christmas bonus from my boss last night."
