NCVPS Communication

Traditional vs Blended/Co-Teaching Communication

ExpectationALL/Traditional/Blended
Respond to communication by 11:59pm of the next instructional day. ALL Teachers
Communication with stakeholders can take place via any of the NCVPS approved methods (phone, text, LMS message, email, virtual meeting spaces, collaborative planning documents) ALL Teachers
Communicate with students at a minimum of every 2 weeks (Weekly in the Summer semester) Traditional
Communicate with parents a minimum of 4 times per Fall/Spring semester or at a minimum of every 2 weeks in the summer semester Traditional
Update organization-wide document for recording all communication (including welcome calls) weekly Traditional
Send a Welcome Email to all students and parent/guardians within 2 instructional days of a student being added to your section once the semester starts Traditional
Communicate asynchronously with partner teachers daily, Monday - Friday, in the CTDL unless requested otherwise by the face-to-face partnership teacher. Blended/Co-Teaching
Complete Welcome Calls with all partner teachers within 1 week of section assignment Blended/Co-Teaching
Develop a communication plan with partner teachers during Welcome Call and document in the organization-wide document for recording communication (additional documentation is at the teacher’s discretion) Blended/Co-Teaching
