divisible A number that can be divided evenly without leaving a remainder
hundredth 1 of 100 equal parts of a whole
tenth 1 of 10 equal parts of a whole
thousandth 1 of 1,000 equal parts of a whole
quotient The number resulting from dividing one number by another
dividend The number being divided
divisor The number of “people” that the number is being divided among
estimate An approximate value close to your answer to check to see if it’s right
decimal point Used to separate the whole number part from the fractional part of a number
