Traumatic arrest

| Initial priorities | - control external bleeding -ventilate at 10 breaths/ min via ET or SGA -bi lateral finger thoracotomies |
| Interventions | -IV or IO access -2000ml -3000ml 0.9 NaCL IV -arrange for blood to be administered if available -splint pelvis if pelvic injury possible -align long bone fractures -2g TXA for an adult |
| Transport | ASAP -consider commencing chest compressions once other task are done |
| When to stop | Asystole for more than a few minutes |
| Reversible causes | -tension pneumothorax -hypovolaemia -airway obstruction -hypoxia |
| IV meds | Very low priority |
