Traumatic arrest

Initial priorities - control external bleeding -ventilate at 10 breaths/ min via ET or SGA -bi lateral finger thoracotomies
Interventions -IV or IO access -2000ml -3000ml 0.9 NaCL IV -arrange for blood to be administered if available -splint pelvis if pelvic injury possible -align long bone fractures -2g TXA for an adult
Transport ASAP -consider commencing chest compressions once other task are done
When to stop Asystole for more than a few minutes
Reversible causes -tension pneumothorax -hypovolaemia -airway obstruction -hypoxia
IV meds Very low priority
